by Ian Collins, when he was 10

One day, 5000 years ago, an old man named John Barman started a job hunting vampires. Vampires infested the city of Switzerland and many people died each month. The most feared vampire was a swift and sneaky vampire named Seporoth.

Seporoth was so feared that everynight people bolted and double-locked their doors and put giant crosses covered with garlic on their roofs. But brave John always stayed up and started hunting. He killed most vampires but never Seporoth.

Finally, one night while John was hunting in the cemetary he heard a noise, like a laugh. He was armed with lots of weapons so he took out a rifle and a stake in case of an attack. All of the graves were empty as if they were dug up by someone.

All of a sudden the man saw a dark figure and red eyes staring at him from the hills. The figure started floating toward him and John realized that it was the red eyes of Seporoth. John was so scared that he wanted to run but he only tripped on his wobbly legs. Seporoth grabbed his shoulder and threw him across the whole cemetary. John fell unconscious for a second and woke up to find Seporoth right in front of him.

With a powerful kick John tripped him and Seporoth fell on him and tried to sink his fans into his neck but John pulled a bottle of holy water out of his pocket. He splashed the water on Seporoth's face and his head disappeared. The body was still on him and it was so heavy that he rolled the body into an open grave and buried it.

Later on John decided to stay with his family and quit hunting vampires. He lived a long time until he went to see Seporoth’s grave. When he got there he saw a tombstone standing in the dirt right in the middle of the grave. He read:

"Will I still be the most feared?

Only life will tell. I will have my revenge"

John got scared and started walking away but he heard a noise below him. He looked down and saw a hand holding his ankle. He started kicking and fell onto the grave. Lots of hands surrounding him now each sticking up from the brown dirt. They all grabbed him and pulled him under where he suffocated and died.

Nobody knew what happened to John that day. Some say a vampire bit him but some didn’t. His family never saw him again.

5000 years later the town died away and started building big cities but the cemetery was still there. One night Seporoth came back from the dead and terror came again.

The End
